The main draw is ready to kick off at the Superdomo
Cuello-Andrada, Valenzuela-González, Danuzzo-Vega and Peirón-Soliverez are the four pairings that complete the main draw of a La Rioja Open that promises strong emotions on its centre court with a capacity for 13,000 spectators.
Tomorrow, from 9:00 local time, Dylan Cuello and Juanpi Andrada will open the round of 32 against Lautaro Mambrini and Luciano Puppo after today's comeback against Matias Gutierrez and Jose Manuel Argañarás. Dylan and Juanpi were able to lift a set down and 2-1 and serve in favour of their rivals in the second set to win it in the third with solidity (1/6 6/3 6/2).
Rama Valenzuela and Mati Gonzalez were able to reach the draw with a resounding 6/2 6/1 win over Juan Martin Cesca and Guido Pozzer, so tomorrow they will play against Juani de Pascual and Maxi Sanchez Blasco for a place in the last sixteen.
The last two teams to qualify did it with similar results and sensations: after a first set where they clearly dominated, the second set was very tight but it was enough for them to go through to the next round.
First, Lucas Danuzzo and Fede Vega, who will face Agustín Torre and Diego Ramos, defeated Gabi Marchesani and Joaquín de Astoreca 6/2 7/5. While to close the day, Fabricio Peirón and Lucho Soliverez got rid of Lucas Rodríguez and Juan Manuel 'Pipa' Carrizo by 6/2 7/6 despite the support that the Riojan crowd showed to their neighbour Carrizo.
Tomorrow the first round of the draw of the La Rioja Open will start and can be followed through the official streaming on the APT Padel Tour YouTube channel or on Star+ for Latin America and the Caribbean.
