The top pairings debuted with a victory in the FPCup that is being played in the Argentine city of La Plata and today they will play for a place in the semifinals on the courts of the Distrito Padel club.

The top seeds, Maxi Arce and Franco Dal Bianco eliminated Zapata and Da Rosa 6/0 6/1 and this Saturday they will face Luca Cortese and Sebastian Solenghi who were favoured by the absence of their rivals Nicocia-Galarza.

The second best pairing of the tournament, Leo Yob and Luciano Puppo advanced to the next round beating Toro-Bassano 6/3 6/2. Now they will face Francisco Britos and Federico Chiostri who defeated Yob-Hurtado 6/3 6/1.

The youngsters Ignacio Archieri and Joaquin De Astoreca had no major difficulties to win 6/2 6/1 against Nicocia-Lombardi. The pass to the semifinals will be played against Mauricio Rivero and Fabricio Peiron who won their match after their rivals Roldan-Olea abandoned their opponents due to injury in the second set.

The last duel of the quarter finals will have Calleja-Maier and Rivero-Araújo as protagonists. The former beat Gaitán-Dametto by a tight 7/5 in the third set, while the Argentinean-Uruguayan duo defeated Corzo-Albornoz 7/5 6/1.

Today's four matches will be played from 3 p.m. onwards on centre court at the Distrito Padel club.
